Connection Error Message Codes

If you are trying to connect to EQO and you receive a connection error message, then you might be confused about why you can't connect. Hopefully this connection guide helps.

  • 00 - “Please turn radio on and try again.”
    • This message is intended for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile users. It is self-explanatory, turn the radio on and try again.
  • 01 - “No connection found, please check your settings and try again.”
    • This message generally indicates that your APN settings are not properly configured. Check out this post for instructions on how to configure your own APN settings.
  • 02 - “Could not contact EQO servers, please try again.”
    • This message could mean that you have lost network coverage or that your carrier blocks EQO. Try recycling the radio (for BlackBerry) or exit the application properly and then sign in again. If problems persist contact your mobile service provider, try another connection, or contact EQO support.
  • 03 - “Oops, EQO goofed, please try again.”
    • This is a very rare error message that will only appear if there are severe problems at EQO. If you get this, please try to connect again in a few minutes and watch out for nuclear attack. Also, check our website for notices of service outages.
  • 04 - “Please allow EQO to access the internet when prompted.”
    • This message occurs when you say "No" to one of the security prompts. Try to log on again and say "Yes" to the prompt. If you are not prompted again, go into the application settings and agree to the security prompt in there.
  • 05 - “Connection attempt timed out, please try again.”
    • This message could indicate that your APN settings are incorrect. Check out this post for instructions on how to set up your APN settings. You may also have waited to long to select a connection for EQO and might also want to try again.
  • 06 - “Connection attempt failed, please try again or select More Info.”
    • This error message means EQO isn't quite sure why you couldn't connect, but the "More Info" screen will have important information as to why your connection failed. Please copy that information carefully and email support@eqo.com for help.
  • 07 – “Connection lost, please try again.”
    • This message means that you were connected, but aren't anymore. It's possible that you lost network coverage, spent your data allotment, or that your phone itself encountered a problem. Please try to connect again.

i have nokia 6600 and i face problems in connection i tryed all recomendation but useless what shall i do 9 the massage which i got : connection error 05 connection attempt time out please try again

re: connection error

Another user with a similar problem/phone has suggested that you try the WAP access point at the first prompt and then the GPRS access point at the second prompt: http://community.eqo.com/forum/nokia_6120_classic#comment-2766

Give it a try and let me know if that works.

05 - “Connection attempt timed out, please try again.”

My phone is the BlackBerry pearls, APN settings is "cmwap" , my cell phone operator is China Mobile.
I can't connect the EQO. WHY?

RE: 05 - “Connection attempt timed out, please try again.”

We are having a bit of trouble with cmwap. Turns out this connection needs a proxy. We've implemented a means of connecting via proxy and the client is being tested in our QA now. It will be released shortly. Please upgrade your client in a few days. You should then be able to connect using CMWAP.

Connection Problem

Hi,
I downloaded Eqo Symbian edition and installed on My Nokia 6120, it is working. But As soon it connects it is closing
automatically. When I take dial menu and search names, it will disappears. Something like timeout error.

Could you please explain how this is happening and resolve this issue.

I am in Qatar and Iam using web from Internet.

Rgds,

Siru

RE: Connection Problem

We are slated to release the next Symbian version shortly. Version 1.2.1 should do away with the crashes you are experiencing. Make sure you remove the previous version of EQO from your phone completely and download the new version into phone memory (definitely not memory card) from get.eqo.com/symbian on your mobile browser.

You could also try our J2ME version, which is currently much more stable than our Symbian beta. That is available from get.eqo.com on your mobile browser.

RE: connection error 2 and 5

i already send the appropriate settings from the nokia website.

i found out that, you should have enough load on your cellphone to connect to eqo via gprs, even wlan internets.

RE: RE: connection error 2 and 5

Yes, EQO can connect using GPRS and wifi. It sounds like you now have the correct settings on your phone. When you start EQO on the Nokia N70 it should give you a list of Access Points to choose from. Which ones have you tried? I recommend trying some others.

doesn't connect

I'm using a gprs simcard from Cable & Wireless, there's no username or password and the apn is "internet". The app is installed but never connects.

re: doesn't connect

Hello,

Try changing the apn to “wap” and see if that helps at all.

Permission error

hello sir, i use eqo for my mobile device LG KE850 prada. connection is ok, but after few seconds always asked for net access permission. and i have press yes button for keep connection continue. is any solution for this matter. Thanks. taher.

re: permission error

Unfortunately I don't know if you can change this setting. Check to see if you have more options under the permissions settings, you may have other options besides "Ask" and "Access Denied". Another thing you could try is to use a TCP internet connection on your phone. That way, you would be prompted once for the first connection and the you should stay online for awhile.

Peter
EQO Customer Support

thanks Mr. Peter, i tried

thanks Mr. Peter, i tried this way, but no luck. permission settings only one option available "ask", can not be change. TCP internet connection set under EQO settings option also checked. Same problems contine. thanks again for your efforts.

re: thanks Mr. Peter, i tried

You may have changed the TCP setting in EQO, but this will only work if you have this type of connection available from your carrier and configured in your internet settings on your phone. Who is your carrier? We could try to set up a TCP connection on your phone.
