"Connecting....." and then "Offline"
Submitted by konniet on April 26, 2007 - 7:59am.
Hi all, I hope this is the right forum for this...if not, please let me know and I'll move the post to the appropriate one. I was able to sugn-up and download and install the app very easily and quickly...btw, process was impressive. I have it installed on my BB 8100 (pearl). However, when the app comes up on my BB, it keeps attempting to connect and I see "Connecting...." scrolling across the bottom of the screen. Then after about 30 seconds or so, I see "Offline" displayed at the top of the screen. My Carrier is T-Mobile. I have EDGE network and unlimited data plan. I added the TMO APN to my TCP settings and that fixed my data errors that I was getting initially....but now it just doesn't seem to connect to EQO services. Could anyone help, please..... Thanks in advance. KT Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com./trackback/830

I have heard of this problem from a few T-Mobile BlackBerry users. I have still not discovered the root of this problem. What happens when you try to enter the TMO APN again and then soft reset your Blackberry? Also, what level internet plan do you have with T-Mobile? I tried re-entering the TMO APN few times...and reset it after each one...but same thing happens. I have an unlimited data plan -- which is unlimited internet and email (BIS & BES). Just as an FYI, they told me that regardless of my "UNLIMITED" plan, they would still charge me for each instant message to/from my BB as a text message. That could add up. Although I love the service (especially because of skype) I don't think I'll be using it...unless you can get TMO to not charge me :) Thanks. Hello KT, EQO Mobile does not work that way. T-Mobile is talking about their own IM service, they charge an SMS per message where we do not. The reason you can not connect is likely to do with your BES or your T-Mobile connection settings for TCP. Please check out this post to find the correct settings: http://community.eqo.com/forum/blackberry_connection_problems Chris re Blackberry 8100 connection problem (or reconnection problem)Submitted by fe1ixx on February 14, 2008 - 3:05am.
Hi KT, I hope someone out there has the solution. ....Felixx..... re Blackberry 8100 connection problem (or reconnection problem)Submitted by peter on February 15, 2008 - 11:34am.
Felixx, We just released a new version today for Blackberry. Go to http://get.eqo.com and download that for starters--actually, before you do that, remove EQO from your phone. Then, make sure that the permission settings for EQO are all set to allow. Then try to connect multiple times. Let me know how it goes.
