Callback on EDGE/GPRS
Submitted by alipatov on August 6, 2008 - 10:38pm.
Hi, I'm having a problem trying to place a call in a callback country (Russia): When I initiate a call on EQO it tries to call my number but since the EDGE/GPRS session is currently active the call goes to voicemail. However, EQO thinks the call is connected and proceeds with completing the other call. Is this basically the behavior when I have voicemail setup? The call get diverted to my voicemail due to active data session before it can get through to my mobile. How do I get around this? Thanks! My first thought would be to turn off your voicemail, if possible. The incoming call from EQO comes in as a regular phone call and should interrupt your Internet session--just as any other call would...I am thinking that maybe this is happening because your phone thinks that you are calling yourself (we are spoofing your own number on this call--I think). You know, it worked fine after my first round of failures, the phone rang as expected. The call is coming from Unknown, by the way, but this may be CallerID pass-through problems with russian operators Thank you. re: Your know, it worked fineSubmitted by peter on August 8, 2008 - 10:05am.
Glad to hear that it eventually worked. Please let me know if you see this again. Peter |
