BRAZIL
Submitted by wickednomad on March 3, 2008 - 7:56am.
Please add Brazil to your supported mobile VOIP country list - i could only use MSN so far! I just loved the program, easy to use and it´s pretty "light" on my mobile (LG ME970c SHINE). I´m using it as my main MSN mobile program. --> Using the JAVA version of EQO. Ps. If you need any testers in Brazil (there´s a huge unexplored market of VOIP for cellphones here), please let me know! Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com./trackback/1288

Hello Sir, Brazil is now a supported EQO country. You can sign up for a Brazilian EQO account from www.eqo.com as long as your have a Brazilian mobile number. I apologize, my country support forum post is not up to date. I will update it shortly. Chris Call failure on EQO - BRAZILSubmitted by wickednomad on March 5, 2008 - 4:05pm.
Hi Chris! Thanks for your quick response. What´s happening is that i´m getting an error while attempting to make a call using EQO. I received $ 2,50 from you guys to try the service (thanks for that!) but when i try to make a call i get the following message]: "Placing call to +553198049***. EQO will call you back in a moment to connect your call." And then no error message is displayed but it returns to the main window. Here´s the overview of my cellphone and carrier: -Phone is a LG Me970c SHINE From what i have understood i must dial country code, area code and number. Eg. +55 031 99999999 Just to clarify something: here in Brazil if we want to call long distance or international - and the call is being placed from withing the country - we must dial "0 + OPERATOR CODE (eg. 14, 15, 21, 31, etc) + area code + number" for long distance or "00 + OPERATOR CODE (same here) + country code + area code + number" Long distance: 0143199999999 Any ideas what might be happening? I´m thinking that maybe my operator is blocking VOIP calls or something like this... I thank you for your time and patience to get this issue solved. Best regards, Gustavo Carvalho GOT IT, sorry!Submitted by wickednomad on March 5, 2008 - 5:01pm.
Hi! I got it... i registered a new account (since i couldn´t change my mobile number from the old one). gustavocarvalho is the new account. 1st. I downloaded the Portuguese (Brazilian) version of your software - i had the English one. 2nd. I realised the format to enter my number was NOT +55 031 98049878 BUT +55 31 98049878 (without the 0). Now i can make calls using EQO! 3rd. If i want to call someone in Brazil, i just type: +55 + areacode + phonenumber eg. +553199999999 Finally i can try the service! Best regards, Gustavo Carvalho Ps. If there´s anything i can do to help you guys improve the service in my country please let me know! RE: GOT IT, sorry!Submitted by chris on March 5, 2008 - 5:03pm.
No problem. I was just going to say that you likely weren't entering numbers correctly, but you've figured it out. Sorry we can't let you change mobile numbers these days, trouble with fraud and whatnot. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Chris |
