EQO Supports the Shiny New BlackBerry Bold

so Bold, so Bold right nowStarting today, EQO supports the shiny new BlackBerry Bold. As the phone's name implies, this device is a statement-maker. It comes equipped with all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a top of the line smartphone--camera, GPS, WiFi, media viewing capabilities, bluetooth, et cetera, et cetera--plus it sports a fancy "bold" screen. Pretty neat, if you ask me.

Anyway, after you run out and buy a new Bold, come back to EQO and try it out.

Skype on BOLD

I have downloaded and installed eqo on my Blackberry BOLD.

However, when i go to the IM accounts, there is no Skyp option available - and i am on 3G.

Does eqo not support skype on Blackberry (chat or voice?

We do not support Skype on any platform anymore. Ever since we launched our own calling network we stopped supporting calling and chatting through Skype.

Perhaps in the future we will revisit Skype chat, but I do not see us going back there in the near term.

EQO on the BlackBerry Bold

Hi, EQO works well on my Bold, but what I really want it for is to cut global roaming charges. Since EQO uses the 3G data network, I think I'm still going to have to pay expensive data roaming charges to use EQO overseas. Can I use EQO with WiFi?

Hi rogermg,

If you are on a GSM network... yes, you can use the EQO application through your WiFi connection. If you are on a CDMA, we have found they do not allow you this ability.

Just turn off your data services and turn on your WiFi. You shouldn't have any problems from here.
